SÉANCE with Tamalyn Miller & Irman
Friday, October 17th at 7pm
Immerse yourself in the season with music for a thinning veil. Reanimating selections from Tamalyn Miller’s album Ghost Pipe. SÉANCE weaves music, poetry, ritual and performance into a conceptual conjuring for our time. Irman’s distinctive cello joins
Tamalyn’s handmade horsehair fiddle, electronics and otherworldly voice to summon and transmit mysterious melodies and messages. Victorian parlor game meets psychedelic folk in this tour of the unseen and the unexpected.

As a musician, sound artist and composer (hand-made horsehair fiddle, electronics, voice) Tamalyn records and performs solo and with Stephen Spera as the chamber ambient duo Spirit Radio. She also regularly performs with psychedelic folk and improvisational sound ensembles In 2024, she released a solo album, Ghost Pipe, and Spirit Radio released their second album Distract’d by a Kaleidoscope Salesman, both of which were also produced as handmade limited art editions. tamalynmiller.com , tamalynmiller.bandcamp.com

THE SACRED ART OF SOPLADA with Tracy Wilbanks
Sunday, October 19th at 1pm
The practice of Soplada (from Spanish "soplar," meaning "to blow") is a fundamental healing technique in Amazonian traditions where practitioners intentionally direct Mapacho smoke with precise movements and focused intention. During this ritual, the practitioner blows smoke over the body to perform energetic cleansing (dissolving negative energies), create spiritual protection (forming an energetic shield around individuals and spaces), activate sacred objects and medicines, and call upon ancestral support. This technique is performed with deep focus and reverence, connecting the practitioner to Mapacho's spirit before directing its smoke with purpose and intention.
About Tracy
You probably know Tracy as the creator of Nichey Baker. She participates in almost every MS&B event, selling her tasty treats. What you probably don’t know is Tracy has been working with Master Plant Medicines for over 3 years now. She travels to the Amazon in the jungles of Peru and sits with the Shipibo Conibo Indigenous peoples and learns their ways.
She has sat in over 40 Plant Medicine Ceremonies and has also dieted Master Plants Chiric Sanango(Mocapari), Noya Rao, and Mapacho(Grandfather).
Now Tracy wants to bring what she has learned in the jungle to as many people as possible with a major emphasis on Grandfather Mapacho.
