Freyja and Her Mysteries- An Exploration of the Norse Goddess with Arielle Lokaslitlasjarna
Freyja and Her Mysteries- an exploration of the Norse goddess Freyja, and how we can invite Her energy into our lives. In Scandinavia, Freyja was considered the goddess of love, war, and household prosperity. She was widely worshipped and depicted in the Icelandic texts as a benevolent deity who used her wit and prowess to get what she desired, even if it meant going up against the gods. This workshop will cover Freyja in the lore, her role in Viking society, and how to take up her a devotional practice to Her. This presentation will also cover Icelandic love magic and spellwork as attested in the texts.

Self-Love Signature Art Experiment with Sarah Schrift
Self-Love Signature Art Experiment: Within everyone’s handwritten signature is an energetic signature that becomes more visible once the writing becomes overlapped, abstracted, and illegible. As a group, we will create art with our signatures. We’ll then take an objective look at our signatures and discuss appreciating what is currently present. This perspective can help lift our self-esteem and make us feel more present and appreciated. We’ll each leave with a Venusian inspired copper piece of artwork that reflects our amazing energetic signatures. Each piece of artwork will eventually oxidize over time (as the copper paint oxidizes). They will continue to change and evolve, and we will each be a witness to the profound beauty of the process.

Sarah Schrift is a professional visual artist, singer-songwriter, magickal practitioner, and a teacher. Sarah received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in painting and an MFA from Columbia University in studio art.
