BIO: BlacKatApothecary is a women-owned business that sells witchy and occult items including shrunken heads, spells and witchy things.Dana always loved making things. In college, she signed up for what she thought was clay throwing class, but it was actually clay hand-building. Although disappointed she pursued and loved it! In this class, she learned to translate emotion into works of art and therapy. After college, she lost touch with clay but always meant to get back to it. Fast-forward to Halloween 2020: Dana’s Aunts, mom, and sister were coming over for "witches tea" in the garden. She really wanted a shrunken head as a party favor and table setting decoration. With the pandemic slowing everything down, she decided to build her own out of clay. Soon after posting pictures and sending a few shrunken heads as a gift, Dana decided to sell her pieces to others, like herself, who liked strange things. She began selling as a local artist in a co-op storefront. After some quick success with that, she expanded to an Etsy shop and began making more things. This endeavor allows Dana to express herself, practice a hobby, and teach her young witch (3 years old) traditions and practices.
